Fresh Pasta at Sapori di Sicilia, Puerto Vallarta

For dinner last night, we walked over to a small italian restaurant we have been wanting to try for awhile called Sapori di Sicilia. The venue is small with seating in a covered outdoor area. The server was very nice and from Northern Italy and the chef from Southern Italy, so they definitely knew Italian food.

The menu is extensive, with everything from salads, pasta dishes, meat or seafood entrees, pizza and desserts. We decided on the special pasta of the day, freshly made tagliatelle with a marinara sauce. The menu was a little confusing because even though the items were clearly listed, it seemed you could mix and match to make any type of dish you wanted. So we stuck with the basics of minestrone and caesar salad to start and a basic pasta dish for our entree. Both were good although I could have gone even more basic with just olive oil, garlic and salt and pepper as we found it was over dressed.

The meal was completed with a complimentary shot of milk, limoncello and cinnamon with little cookie like biscuits. That was a very nice little treat.
