Sunset Cocktails at La Palapa

One of my all time favorite things to do in Puerto Vallarta is to watch the sunset at La Palapa before heading out for a late dinner. The beauty of it all is La Palapa is a short walk from our condo so even if it’s quite warm out, you won’t work up a sweat getting there.

Sunset cocktails, does it get any better than this? Hibiscus margarita, Absolute Pear and soda, traditional lime margarita.

La Palapa has live music most nights in their bar, you can check on their website www.lapalapapv.com for details. It’s usually a soft jazz group that consists of a flute player, guitar players and a drum and percussion player. The musicians are very talented artists and have recordings of their music available for you to purchase. Perfect live music for a perfect venue!

The staff are professional and very friendly, with most being employees of the restaurant for many years. I certainly have my favorites though, ha. The bar is under the big palapa with fans to help keep the air cool. However, you still have an amazing view of the sunset and people walking by. The bar at La Palapa is a great place to listen to wonderful live music, enjoy a tasty cocktail and watch the sunsets that make Puerto Vallarta so beautiful.

The grand finale, the sunset. The grand finale, the sunset. Beautiful colors!
